I have checked the plugin on the latest stable wordpress version which is 5.7 at the moment. It still works, but there is a message in the gutenberg editor saying JS must be enabled, which of course is. The plugin does work anyway and in the classic editor you dont get the message, so i guess it should be fine for now.
