Instructions for Ultimate Sensitive Content Guard
1. Installation
Via WordPress Admin Panel:
- Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Go to Plugins > Add New.
- Click Upload Plugin at the top and upload the ZIP file of the plugin.
- After uploading, click Install Now and then Activate to enable the plugin.
Manual Installation:
- Extract the plugin ZIP file on your computer.
- Using an FTP client, upload the plugin folder to your WordPress directory at
/wp-content/plugins/
. - Go to your WordPress admin panel, navigate to Plugins, and click Activate under Ultimate Sensitive Content Guard.
2. Configuring the Plugin
- Access the Settings:
- In the WordPress admin dashboard, go to Settings > Sensitive Content Guard.
- Customize the Warning Text:
- In the Warning Text field, input the message you want visitors to see before they access the sensitive content.
- Adjust Button Text:
- Set the primary button text (e.g., “Continue” or “Proceed”).
- Optionally, set a second button with a custom link for redirection (e.g., to a disclaimer or another page).
- Set Cookie Duration:
- In the Cookie Duration field, specify how many hours the warning should be suppressed after the user acknowledges it (e.g., set to “24” for once per day).
- Customize Colors:
- Choose the Background Color and Button Color to match your site’s branding using the color picker.
3. Saving Changes
- After customizing the settings, click Save Changes to apply your modifications.
4. Testing the Modal
- Clear Cache:
- After saving, clear your browser and website cache to ensure the updated settings take effect.
- Preview:
- Visit your website in an incognito window or clear your cookies to test how the sensitive content warning appears to new visitors.
5. Updating the Plugin
- To update the plugin, go to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
- If an update is available for Ultimate Sensitive Content Guard, click Update Now.
6. Uninstalling the Plugin
- Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins in your WordPress dashboard.
- Find Ultimate Sensitive Content Guard and click Deactivate.
- Once deactivated, click Delete to remove the plugin from your site.
