About Jacob Martella
Web development. Web design. Writing. Those are a few of my favorite things. Writing was my first love since I could remember. I wanted to become a sports journalist, and at the University of Texas at Austin, I accomplished just that. I graduated in May 2016 with a journalism degree, working four years at The Daily Texan and covering the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. But during that time, I developed another passion — web development. I discovered a love for creating things, especially with code. I self-taught myself the basics, graduated with an Elements of Computing Certificate from UT and now work as a junior developer at a development firm. It’s been a strange journey, but it’s one that’s been worth it.
